1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or playing Slash Grid ("the Game"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Game.

These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you and atomo.dev ("we," "our," or "us").

2. Description of Service

Slash Grid is a gesture-based mobile game where players battle geometric bosses using swipe and tap controls. The Game includes:

  • Single-player boss rush gameplay
  • Automatic user profile creation
  • Global leaderboards
  • Progress tracking and statistics

3. User Accounts

When you first launch Slash Grid, a user profile is automatically created for you. This profile includes:

  • A unique device-based identifier
  • An auto-generated nickname (which you can customize)
  • Your game progress and statistics

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device. We are not liable for unauthorized access to your profile resulting from device compromise.

4. Nickname Guidelines

Your nickname is visible to other players on leaderboards. You agree that your nickname will not:

  • Contain offensive, vulgar, or inappropriate language
  • Impersonate other players, developers, or public figures
  • Include personal information (real names, addresses, etc.)
  • Contain spam, advertising, or promotional content
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

We reserve the right to change or reset nicknames that violate these guidelines without notice.

5. Fair Play

You agree to play Slash Grid fairly and honestly. The following are prohibited:

  • Using cheats, hacks, exploits, or unauthorized modifications
  • Manipulating game data or scores
  • Using automated scripts or bots
  • Exploiting bugs or glitches (please report these to us instead)
  • Any action that gives an unfair advantage over other players

Violation of fair play rules may result in score removal, leaderboard ban, or account termination.

6. Leaderboards

Slash Grid features global leaderboards that display player rankings. By using the Game, you agree that:

  • Your nickname, scores, and rankings may be publicly displayed
  • We may remove scores obtained through unfair means
  • Leaderboard data may be reset during major updates
  • Rankings are calculated based on our scoring algorithms, which may change

7. Intellectual Property

All content in Slash Grid, including but not limited to graphics, animations, sounds, music, gameplay mechanics, and code, is owned by atomo.dev and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works based on the Game without our explicit written permission.

8. Service Availability

We strive to keep Slash Grid available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Game or its online features may be temporarily unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance
  • Server issues or technical problems
  • Updates and improvements
  • Circumstances beyond our control

We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by service interruptions.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Slash Grid is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The Game will be error-free or uninterrupted
  • Defects will be corrected
  • The Game will meet your specific requirements

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, atomo.dev shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Slash Grid, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or interruption of service.

This limitation of liability does not apply to:

  • Liability arising from gross negligence or willful misconduct
  • Liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law
  • Any mandatory consumer protection rights under applicable law

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Slash Grid at any time, with or without cause, including but not limited to:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Cheating or unfair play
  • Inappropriate nickname or conduct
  • Legal requirements

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@slashgrid.app.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of Slash Grid after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Slash Grid shall be resolved in the courts of Germany.

Consumer Protection (EU/EEA Residents)

If you are a consumer residing in the European Union or European Economic Area, you benefit from mandatory provisions of consumer protection laws in your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under such laws.

In particular, the choice of German law and jurisdiction does not deprive you of the protection afforded by provisions that cannot be derogated from by agreement under the law of your country of residence.

For EU consumers, alternative dispute resolution is available through the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and atomo.dev regarding Slash Grid.
