Automatically Collected Information
- Device Identifier: We generate a unique identifier (UUID) for your device when you first launch the app. This is stored securely in your device's Keychain and is used to identify your game profile.
- Authentication Token: A secure token is generated to authenticate your device with our servers.

- Nickname: Your in-game display name (3-32 characters). An initial nickname is auto-generated, but you can customize it.
Gameplay Data
When you play Slash Grid, we collect gameplay statistics to provide leaderboards and track your progress:
- Scores and rankings
- Boss fight results (victory/defeat)
- Fight duration and phases reached
- Combat statistics (hits, damage, gestures performed)
- Number of attempts per boss
- Best times and scores

- Leaderboards: To display global rankings. Your nickname and score are publicly visible on leaderboards.

Please choose a nickname that you are comfortable displaying publicly. Do not use your real name if you prefer to remain anonymous.

- Local Storage: Game progress and settings are stored locally on your device using secure storage (Keychain for sensitive data, UserDefaults for preferences).
- Server Storage: Your profile, scores, and gameplay data are stored on our servers at api.slashgrid.app.
- Data Location: Our servers are located in the European Union (Germany). Your data does not leave the EU/EEA.
- Security: All communication with our servers uses HTTPS encryption. Authentication tokens are stored securely and transmitted via bearer authentication.
Data Retention
We retain your data indefinitely to maintain your game progress and leaderboard rankings. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see "Your Rights" below).
Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. We do not use third-party analytics services or advertising networks. Your data stays with us.

- United States: Slash Grid is rated 13+ in the United States. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
- Other Regions: In other regions, Slash Grid is rated 8+ and suitable for players of all ages with parental guidance.
We encourage parents and guardians to monitor their children's app usage. The only user-provided information is an in-game nickname, which we recommend keeping anonymous.
